How to Spot Bulling Cows
Below are examples of cows that are showing signs of being in heat but are not being ridden by other cows.

Always pay particular attention to cow behaviour during milking so that those cows that are in the early stages of heat are not missed.
In the video below there is a red cow showing typical bulling behaviour such as;

Restless
Head up
Ears forward
Sniffing other cows
Rubbing her head on other cows
Trying to ride other cows

This behaviour is different to what the other cows are displaying and the most likely reason is that she is in heat but none of the other cows are interested.

This cow should be inseminated when the AI tech turns up.
In the video below there is a red/brown cow showing behaviour that shows that she is in heat, such as;

Head up
Alert
Ears forward
Flicking tail

This behaviour is different to what the other cows are displaying and the most likely reason is that she is in heat but none of the other cows are interested.

This behaviour is quite subtle but with the way the cow is holding her head with her ears forward there is enough to show that she is in heat and should be inseminated when the AI tech turns up.
The cow in this video is in heat, notice how she;

Agitated as she backs off the platform
Goes over to the cows still in the collecting yard
Has her head up, ears forward
Tries to ride the next cow off the platform

This cow should be inseminated when the AI tech turns up.
